Seoul University Workshop
The Department of Education and Training at the Australia Embassy hosted a workshop which invited Dr Hye – Eun Chu, from Macquarie University, and other collaborators, from Seoul National University, to present the Intercultural STEAM Program (ISP) implemented in Australian and Korean primary school classrooms.
The talk emphasised the importance of the intercultural and the arts integrated STEM collaborations in the science classroom, which includes the bilateral relationship that the program aims to cultivate between Australian and Korean students.
Teachers, education consultants, and teacher educator attendees expressed their keen interest in ISP and had high hopes to implement the new STEAM approach in future school practices.
